Avalon is a project with the goal to develop an open source digital audio/video management and delivery system for libraries and archives. Among the partners are nine universities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Rock and Roll museum and the American public broadcaster WGBH.
Latest release of the software is available for download or try out. The goal is to produce a release every three months. The software can cooperate with a Fedora repository. In the development WGBH's developers of HydraDAM (OpenVault) are closely involved. More technical documentation is available in the wiki.
