This blog, begun in 2011, is written by a variety of Library of Congress staff members and focuses on digital preservation issues. It presents a broad picture of current digital preservation issues faced by libraries, archives, museums and private individuals. It covers topics ranging from technical infrastructure and tools to personal and philosophical looks at how archive work has changed and the digital world we all try to manage. It was a 2012 Digital Preservation Award finalist in the category "outstanding contribution to teaching and communication in digital preservation", given out by the Digital Preservation Coalition.
This blog is always well written, often includes links to important resources and manages to explain in a very approachable way, complex issues confronting archivists working in very different domains. It is highly recommended for those wishing to stay current on a broad range of digital preservation issues including digital audiovisual preservation challenges.
